Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups Glutinous Rice (Sticky Rice)
  • 2 cans Coconut Milk
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 2 large Fresh Mango
  • 2 tbsp Sunflower Seeds

Instructions

  1. 1Rinse the glutinous rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. 2Soak the rice in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  3. 3Drain the rice and steam it for about 20-30 minutes, or until it is tender and sticky.
  4. 4While the rice is steaming, prepare the coconut sauce. In a saucepan, combine 1 can of coconut milk, sugar, and salt.
  5. 5Heat over low heat, stirring until the sugar and salt are dissolved. Do not boil.
  6. 6Once the rice is cooked, mix it with half of the coconut sauce.
  7. 7Let it sit for about 10 minutes to absorb the sauce.
  8. 8To serve, place some sticky rice on a plate, top with sliced mango, and drizzle with the remaining coconut sauce.
  9. 9Sprinkle sunflower seeds over the top.
