Ingredients

  • 1 cup Sweet rice (glutinous rice)
  • 1 can Coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 2 medium Mango
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. 1Rinse the sweet rice and soak it in water for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight.
  2. 2Drain the rice and steam it for about 20-30 minutes, or until it is cooked and sticky.
  3. 3While the rice is steaming, heat half of the coconut milk in a saucepan with sugar and salt until the sugar is dissolved.
  4. 4Once the rice is cooked, mix it with the sweetened coconut milk and let it sit for 10 minutes to absorb the liquid.
  5. 5Shape the rice into small bite-sized balls or squares.
  6. 6Serve with sliced mango and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.
