Ingredients

  • 2 cans Black Beans
  • 1 cup Cooked Brown Rice
  • 1/2 cup Gluten-Free Breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup Red Onion
  • 2 teaspoons Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 4 Burger Buns
  • as needed Toppings (Lettuce, Tomato, Avocado)

Instructions

  1. 1Drain and rinse the black beans. Mash half of the beans with a fork in a large bowl.
  2. 2Add the remaining black beans, cooked brown rice, gluten-free breadcrumbs, red onion, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to the bowl.
  3. 3Mix well until combined. If mixture is too wet, add more breadcrumbs.
  4. 4Form the mixture into 4 patties.
  5. 5Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. 6Cook the patties for 5-7 minutes per side, or until browned and heated through.
