Ingredients

  • 1 lb Swiss chard, chopped
  • 1.5 lb Potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium Onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1.5 cups Heavy cream
  • 1.5 cups Grated Gruyère cheese
  • 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 tsp Nutmeg, grated
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Tapioca starch

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. 2Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until softened.
  3. 3Add Swiss chard and cook until wilted, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. 4In a bowl, combine heavy cream, Gruyère cheese, Parmesan cheese, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Whisk in the tapioca starch.
  5. 5Layer potatoes, Swiss chard mixture, and cheese sauce in a greased baking dish.
  6. 6Repeat layers, ending with a layer of cheese sauce.
  7. 7Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown and bubbly.
