Ingredients

  • 2 cups Sticky rice (sweet rice)
  • 2 cups Water
  • 4 links Chinese sausage, sliced
  • 1/2 cup Dried shrimp, soaked and chopped
  • 1/4 cup Sunflower seeds, toasted
  • 2 tablespoons Fried shallots
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. 1Soak sticky rice in water for at least 4 hours, or overnight. Drain well.
  2. 2Steam the rice in a steamer for 30-40 minutes, or until cooked through. Fluff with a fork.
  3. 3While the rice is steaming, stir-fry the Chinese sausage and dried shrimp in vegetable oil until cooked.
  4. 4In a small bowl, mix soy sauce and sugar.
  5. 5Top the sticky rice with the sausage mixture, sunflower seeds, and fried shallots. Drizzle with soy sauce mixture.
