Ingredients

  • about 450 g Frozen Edamame Pods
  • 2 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Toasted Sesame Seeds

Original measure retained: its cup/spoon or fluid-volume standard is unspecified.

Instructions

  1. 1Place the about 450 g Frozen Edamame Pods in a pot with enough water to cover them and bring to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the pods are tender when squeezed.
  2. 2While the edamame is cooking, place a small saucepan over medium heat (176.7°C / 175°C). Add the 2 tbsp Sesame Oil to the saucepan.
  3. 3Add the 2 cloves Minced Garlic to the warm sesame oil. Sauté for about 30 seconds, stirring constantly, until the garlic is fragrant and just beginning to turn golden. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
  4. 4Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the 1 tbsp Soy Sauce until it is well combined with the sesame oil and garlic mixture.
  5. 5Carefully drain the cooked edamame pods. Place the drained edamame in a medium bowl.
  6. 6Pour the sesame-garlic glaze from the saucepan over the drained edamame pods. Toss gently to ensure all the pods are evenly coated with the glaze.
  7. 7Sprinkle the 1 tbsp Toasted Sesame Seeds over the edamame. Toss one more time to distribute the seeds.
  8. 8Serve the Edamame with Sesame-Garlic Glaze immediately while warm.
