Ingredients

  • about 680 g Chicken Breast
  • 0.25 cup Olive Oil
  • 0.25 cup Lemon Juice
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black Pepper
  • 8 pieces Wooden Skewers

Original measure retained: its cup/spoon or fluid-volume standard is unspecified.

Instructions

  1. 1Cut the about 680 g Chicken Breast into 2.54 cm cubes.
  2. 2In a bowl, whisk together the 0.25 cup Olive Oil, 0.25 cup Lemon Juice, 4 cloves Garlic (minced), 2 tsp Paprika, 1 tsp Turmeric, 1 tsp Cumin, 1 tsp Dried Oregano, 1 tsp Salt, and 0.5 tsp Black Pepper until well combined.
  3. 3Add the 2.54 cm chicken cubes to the marinade and toss to ensure every piece is fully coated. Cover the bowl and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature, or up to overnight in the refrigerator.
  4. 4Place the 8 Wooden Skewers in a shallow dish and cover them with water. Let them soak for at least 30 minutes to prevent them from burning on the grill.
  5. 5Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, which is approximately 204.4-232.2°C (200-230°C).
  6. 6Thread the marinated chicken cubes onto the soaked wooden skewers, leaving a small space between each piece.
  7. 7Place the skewers on the preheated grill. Cook for 10-12 minutes, turning them every few minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and has a slightly charred exterior. The internal temperature of the chicken should reach 74°C.
  8. 8Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for 2-3 minutes before serving immediately.
