Ingredients

  • 4 slices Bread (thick slices)
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 each Egg
  • 2 tablespoons Maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons Kinako (roasted soybean flour)
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. 1In a shallow dish, whisk together the almond milk, egg, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
  2. 2Soak each slice of bread in the mixture for about 1-2 minutes per side, until fully saturated.
  3. 3Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. 4Cook the soaked bread slices for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. 5Transfer to plates and sprinkle with kinako. Drizzle with additional maple syrup and serve immediately.
