Ingredients

  • about 450 g Ground Pork
  • 1 15 oz can Tomato Sauce
  • 1 cup Potatoes
  • 1 cup Carrots
  • 1/2 cup Peas
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil

Original measure retained: its cup/spoon or fluid-volume standard is unspecified.

Instructions

  1. 1Heat the 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a 30.48 cm skillet over medium-high heat, which is about 190°C.
  2. 2Add the 1 medium onion, chopped, and the 3 cloves of garlic, minced, to the hot skillet. Sauté for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the onion is softened and the garlic is fragrant.
  3. 3Add the about 450 g of ground pork to the skillet. Break it apart with a spoon and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 7 minutes, until it is browned all over and no pink remains.
  4. 4Pour in the 1 (about 425 g) can of tomato sauce. Add the 1 cup of potatoes, cut into 1.27 cm cubes, the 1 cup of carrots, cut into 1.27 cm cubes, and the 1/2 cup of peas. Stir everything together.
  5. 5Add the 2 tablespoons of soy sauce to the mixture. Stir well to combine all the ingredients. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  6. 6Cover the skillet with a lid. Reduce the heat to medium-low, which is about 150°C. Cook for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the potatoes and carrots are tender when pierced with a fork. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  7. 7Serve the giniling hot, ideally with rice.
