Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian Sausage
  • 1 lb Pasta (gluten-free)
  • 28 oz Canned Crushed Tomatoes
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1/4 cup Nutritional Yeast
  • 1/2 cup Coconut Cream
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Dried Basil
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. 1Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. 2While pasta cooks, remove sausage from casing and brown in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. 3Add olive oil, diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. 4Stir in crushed tomatoes, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
  5. 5Stir in nutritional yeast and coconut cream. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. 6Add cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat.
  7. 7Serve immediately.
