Ingredients

  • about 450 g Beef sirloin
  • 1 large Red bell pepper
  • 1 medium Zucchini
  • 1 medium Red onion
  • 1/4 cup Sunflower seed butter
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger

Original measure retained: its cup/spoon or fluid-volume standard is unspecified.

Instructions

  1. 1Cut the about 450 g Beef sirloin into 2.54 cm cubes. Cut the 1 large Red bell pepper, 1 medium Zucchini, and 1 medium Red onion into pieces roughly the same size as the beef cubes.
  2. 2Thread the beef cubes and the cut vegetables onto skewers, alternating between beef and vegetables.
  3. 3In a medium bowl, whisk together the 1/4 cup Sunflower seed butter, 2 tablespoons Soy sauce, 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar, 1 tablespoon Honey, 2 cloves minced Garlic, and 1 teaspoon grated Ginger until smooth. This is your satay sauce.
  4. 4Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, aiming for a temperature of about 205°C (200°C).
  5. 5Place the skewers on the preheated grill. Cook for 10-15 minutes, turning the skewers occasionally. The beef is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 63°C and is no longer pink inside, and the vegetables are tender and slightly charred.
  6. 6Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for 2-3 minutes before serving. Serve the Beef and Vegetable Skewers with the prepared satay sauce on the side.
