Ingredients

  • 1 lb Flank steak
  • 4 cups Broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce (nut-free)
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 4 cups Rice (cooked)

Instructions

  1. 1Slice the flank steak thinly against the grain. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Add the steak and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. 2Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, until bright green and slightly tender.
  3. 3Remove the broccoli from the skillet and set aside.
  4. 4Add the marinated steak to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, until cooked through.
  5. 5Return the broccoli to the skillet. Add the sesame oil and toss to combine. Cook for another minute.
  6. 6Serve immediately over cooked rice.
