Ingredients

  • 2 lb Chicken pieces
  • 1 large Onion
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 2 tbsp Chili paste
  • 2 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 1 can Coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp Cassava flour
  • 1 tbsp Tamarind paste
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Water

Instructions

  1. 1Marinate chicken pieces with salt and turmeric powder.
  2. 2Fry chicken until golden brown and set aside.
  3. 3In the same pan, sauté onion, garlic, and ginger until fragrant.
  4. 4Add chili paste and tomato paste. Cook for a few minutes.
  5. 5Add cassava flour and stir well. Cook for another minute.
  6. 6Pour in water, coconut milk and tamarind paste.
  7. 7Add sugar and salt.
  8. 8Bring to a simmer, then add the fried chicken.
  9. 9Cook until the sauce has thickened and chicken is heated through.
  10. 10Serve hot with cauliflower rice or rice.
