Feijoa and Apple Crumble Slices

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 2 cups Feijoas, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup Apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch square baking pan.
  2. 2In a large bowl, combine flour, rolled oats, and brown sugar.
  3. 3Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. 4Press half of the crumb mixture into the prepared baking pan.
  5. 5In a separate bowl, combine chopped feijoas, chopped apples, lemon juice, and cinnamon.
  6. 6Spread the fruit mixture evenly over the crumb base.
  7. 7Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the fruit filling.
  8. 8Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  9. 9Let cool completely in the pan before cutting into slices.
