Ingredients

  • about 450 g Pork Loin (thinly sliced)
  • 4 each Crusty Rolls
  • 0.5 cup White Wine
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 each Bay Leaf
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black Pepper

Original measure retained: its cup/spoon or fluid-volume standard is unspecified.

Instructions

  1. 1In a bowl, combine the 0.5 cup white wine, 4 cloves minced garlic, 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 bay leaf, 1 tsp paprika, 0.5 tsp salt, and 0.25 tsp black pepper.
  2. 2Add the about 450 g thinly sliced pork loin to the bowl with the marinade. Toss everything together to make sure the pork is fully coated. Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. 3Place a large skillet on the stovetop and heat it over medium-high heat (about 204.4°C / 200°C).
  4. 4Carefully add the marinated pork to the hot skillet. Cook the pork for 2 to 3 minutes on each side, until it is cooked through and has a light brown color. The pork should reach an internal temperature of 63°C.
  5. 5While the pork is cooking, slice the 4 crusty rolls in half horizontally.
  6. 6Once the pork is cooked, remove it from the skillet. Spoon the cooked pork into the halved crusty rolls.
  7. 7Serve the Bifanas immediately.
