Ingredients

  • 2 lb Beef Chuck
  • 2 large Onions
  • 4 cups Beef Broth
  • 2 tbsp Red Wine Vinegar
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 4 whole Cloves
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 4 packs Konjac Rice (Shirataki Rice)
  • to taste Salt and Pepper

Instructions

  1. 1Cut beef chuck into 1-inch cubes. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. 2Chop the onions.
  3. 3Heat butter in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Brown the beef in batches and set aside.
  4. 4Add onions to the pot and sauté until softened and lightly browned.
  5. 5Return the beef to the pot. Add beef broth, red wine vinegar, bay leaf, and cloves. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for at least 2 hours, or until the beef is very tender.
  6. 6Prepare konjac rice according to package instructions.
  7. 7Serve the 'Hachee' over konjac rice.
