  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 4 medium Apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup Plant-Based Milk (e.g., Almond, Oat)
  • 1/2 cup Applesauce
  • 1/2 cup Vegan Butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 2 tablespoons Turbinado Sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 12-inch Dutch oven.
  2. 2In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. 3In a separate bowl, combine apples, brown sugar, plant-based milk, applesauce, melted vegan butter, vanilla extract, and lemon juice.

  5. 5Pour the batter into the prepared Dutch oven. Sprinkle turbinado sugar over the top.
