Ingredients

  • 1 cup Gundruk (Fermented Leaf)
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1 medium Tomato
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tsp Ginger
  • 1 Green Chilies
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 5 cups Water

Instructions

  1. 1Rinse gundruk thoroughly to remove excess salt and acidity.
  2. 2Heat vegetable oil in a pot. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. 3Add garlic, ginger, and green chilies. Sauté for a minute.
  4. 4Add chopped tomato and cook until softened.
  5. 5Add gundruk, turmeric powder, and cumin powder. Sauté for a few minutes.
  6. 6Pour in water and bring to a boil.
  7. 7Reduce heat and simmer for 25-30 minutes.
  8. 8Season with salt to taste.
  9. 9Serve hot.
