Grilled Corn on the Cob with Indonesian Butter

Ingredients

  • 4 count Corn on the cob
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1/4 tsp Chili flakes
  • 1/2 tsp Lime zest
  • 1 tsp Lime juice
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Cilantro

Instructions

  1. 1Place the 1/4 cup butter on the counter to soften at room temperature.
  2. 2Finely mince the 1 clove garlic and finely chop the 2 tablespoons of cilantro.
  3. 3In a small bowl, combine the softened 1/4 cup butter, the minced 1 clove garlic, 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes, 1/2 teaspoon lime zest, 1 teaspoon lime juice, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and the chopped 2 tablespoons of cilantro. Stir everything together until it is well mixed.
  4. 4Preheat your grill to medium heat, which is about 350°F (175°C).
  5. 5Place the 4 ears of corn on the cob directly on the grill grates. Grill for 12 to 15 minutes, turning the corn every few minutes. You will know the corn is done when the kernels are tender and have some lightly charred spots.
  6. 6Remove the corn from the grill. Use a brush or a knife to spread the Indonesian butter mixture evenly over the hot corn. Serve immediately.
