Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Buckwheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon Dry active yeast
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups Unsweetened oat milk
  • 2 tablespoons Dairy-free butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons Agave nectar
  • 1 tablespoon Powdered sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1In a large bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, buckwheat flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  2. 2In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs and oat milk. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, whisking until smooth.
  3. 3Cover the bowl and let the batter rest in a warm place for 30 minutes.
  4. 4Heat a poffertjes pan or griddle over medium heat. Brush with melted dairy-free butter.
  5. 5Pour a small amount of batter into each indentation of the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
  6. 6Transfer the poffertjes to a plate and drizzle with agave nectar. Dust with powdered sugar (optional).
