Ingredients

  • about 450 g Ground chicken
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 small Green chilies
  • 1/4 cup Fresh cilantro
  • 1 tbsp Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1.5 tsp Spices (cumin, coriander, garam masala, red chili powder)
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Oil (for brushing)

Original measure retained: its cup/spoon or fluid-volume standard is unspecified.

Instructions

  1. 1In a large bowl, combine the about 450 g ground chicken with the 1 medium onion (finely chopped), 2 small green chilies (finely chopped), 1/4 cup fresh cilantro (chopped), 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste, 1.5 tsp spices, and 1/2 tsp salt.
  2. 2Add the 1 tbsp lemon juice to the mixture and use your hands to thoroughly combine all ingredients until everything is evenly distributed.
  3. 3Cover the bowl and let the mixture marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  4. 4Divide the marinated chicken mixture into 4 equal portions. Take one portion and shape it around a skewer, pressing firmly to create a compact kebab shape.
  5. 5Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (around about 205°C or 200°C). If using an oven, preheat it to about 205°C (200°C).
  6. 6Place the shaped chicken kebabs on the preheated grill grates or on a baking sheet if using the oven. Grill or bake for 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally.
  7. 7During the last 5 minutes of cooking, brush the kebabs with the 1 tbsp oil. The kebabs are done when they are cooked through, lightly browned, and the internal temperature reaches 74°C.
