Ingredients

  • 1 lb Yuca
  • 2 cups Vegetable Oil
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 cup Dairy-Free Mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Lime Juice
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper

Instructions

  1. 1Peel the yuca and cut it into thick sticks, similar to french fries.
  2. 2Boil the yuca sticks in salted water until slightly tender, about 10-15 minutes.
  3. 3Drain the yuca sticks and let them cool slightly.
  4. 4Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pan.
  5. 5Fry the yuca sticks until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. 6In a small bowl, mix plant-based mayonnaise with lime juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  7. 7Serve the yuquitas fritas hot with the dipping sauce.
