Ingredients

  • 1 lb Plant-Based Ground Meat
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 medium Onion
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 28 oz Crushed Tomatoes
  • 1 leaf Bay Leaf
  • 1/4 cup Red Wine
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. 1In a bowl, combine plant-based ground meat, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into small, oblong meatballs.
  2. 2Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides.
  3. 3Add crushed tomatoes, bay leaf, and red wine. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and cook for 25-30 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and the meatballs are cooked through.
  4. 4Remove bay leaf before serving.
  5. 5Serve over rice or quinoa.
