Vegan Sisig with Tofu and Cauliflower

Ingredients

  • 1 block Firm Tofu
  • 1 head Cauliflower
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 small Green Chili
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Calamansi Juice (or Lemon Juice)
  • 2 tablespoons Vegan Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 4 cups Rice

Instructions

  1. 1Press the tofu to remove excess water, then dice into small cubes.
  2. 2Finely chop the cauliflower into small pieces resembling ground meat.
  3. 3In a large pan or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Sauté onion and green chili until fragrant.
  4. 4Add tofu and cauliflower. Cook until the tofu is browned and the cauliflower is tender, about 10-15 minutes.
  5. 5Add soy sauce, calamansi juice, and vegan mayonnaise. Stir well to combine.
  6. 6Season with salt and black pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  7. 7Serve hot on a sizzling plate (optional) with rice.
