Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Day-Old Bread
  • 2 cups Almond Milk
  • 1 cup Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 cup Vegan Butter
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. 2Cut bread into 1-inch cubes and place in a greased baking dish.
  3. 3In a saucepan, melt vegan butter with maple syrup. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. 4In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and a little almond milk to form a slurry.
  5. 5Add cornstarch slurry to the saucepan and cook until thickened.
  6. 6Pour almond milk over the bread cubes. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
  7. 7Pour the maple syrup sauce evenly over the bread.
  8. 8Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown and set.
