Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup Water
  • 1/4 cup Grated yam
  • 3 cups Shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup Chopped scallions
  • 2 tablespoons Dried wakame seaweed
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 4 tablespoons Vegan mayonnaise
  • 4 tablespoons Okonomiyaki sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Aonori (dried seaweed flakes)

Instructions

  1. 1In a large bowl, combine the flour and water until smooth. Stir in the grated yam until well combined.
  2. 2Add the cabbage, scallions, wakame, and soy sauce to the batter and mix well.
  3. 3Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  4. 4Pour about 1/4 of the batter onto the hot skillet for each pancake. Cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. 5Transfer the okonomiyaki to plates and top with vegan mayonnaise, okonomiyaki sauce, and aonori seaweed flakes. Serve immediately.
