Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 3/4 cup Water
  • 1 block Tofu
  • 1 cup Cabbage
  • 1/2 cup Carrot
  • 1/2 cup Onion
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 4 medium Tomatoes
  • 1-2 Green Chilies
  • 2 tablespoons Cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice

Instructions

  1. 1Prepare the dough: In a bowl, mix flour and water until a smooth, elastic dough forms. Cover and let rest for 30 minutes.
  2. 2Prepare the filling: In a bowl, combine crumbled tofu, cabbage, carrot, onion, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. 3Make the momos: Roll out the dough and cut into small circles. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle. Fold the dough to create a momo shape. Repeat with remaining dough and filling.
  4. 4Steam the momos: Steam the momos for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.
  5. 5Prepare the chutney: In a blender, combine tomatoes, green chilies, cilantro, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth. Season with salt to taste.
  6. 6Serve the momos hot with the spicy tomato chutney.
