Ingredients

  • 1 cup Dried Gundruk (Fermented Leaf)
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 tablespoon Mustard Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  1. 1Soak dried gundruk in water for 30 minutes to rehydrate.
  2. 2Squeeze out excess water from the gundruk and chop coarsely.
  3. 3Heat mustard oil in a pan. Add minced garlic and grated ginger and sauté for a minute.
  4. 4Add chopped gundruk, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  5. 5Remove from heat and mix in toasted sesame seeds and lemon juice.
  6. 6Serve as a side dish with rice or other Nepali meals.
