Ingredients

  • 1 pound Seitan
  • 6 cloves Garlic
  • 4 leaves Bay Leaves
  • 3 tablespoons Red Wine Vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. 1Cut the 1 pound of seitan into 1-inch cubes.
  2. 2In a bowl, combine the 6 cloves of minced garlic, the 4 leaves of crumbled bay leaves, the 3 tablespoons of red wine vinegar, the 2 tablespoons of olive oil, the 1 teaspoon of salt, and the 0.5 teaspoon of black pepper. Stir everything together to make the marinade.
  3. 3Add the seitan cubes to the marinade. Toss them gently to make sure every piece of seitan is coated. Let the seitan marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature, or you can marinate it for up to overnight in the refrigerator.
  4. 4Thread the marinated seitan cubes onto skewers. You can use as many cubes per skewer as you like, leaving a little space between them.
  5. 5Prepare your grill for medium heat. This is about 350°F to 400°F (175°C to 200°C).
  6. 6Place the skewers on the grill. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes, turning them every few minutes. The seitan is ready when it has light char marks and is heated all the way through. You can tell it's heated through when it feels firm to the touch.
