Ingredients

  • 2 cans Black Beans
  • 1 cup Cooked Brown Rice
  • 0.5 medium Onion
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 0.5 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon Vegan Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 0.75 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 4 Burger Buns

Instructions

  1. 1Rinse and drain black beans. Mash with a fork or potato masher.
  2. 2Sauté chopped onion and garlic in olive oil until softened.
  3. 3In a large bowl, combine mashed black beans, cooked brown rice, sautéed onion and garlic, chili powder, cumin, breadcrumbs, and vegan Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. 4Form mixture into 4 patties.
  5. 5Heat remaining olive oil in a skillet or on a grill. Cook patties for 5-7 minutes per side, or until heated through and slightly browned.
  6. 6Serve on burger buns with your favorite toppings.
