Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Fine Semolina Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Water
  • 0.5 cup Olive Oil
  • 0.25 cup Melted Vegan Butter
  • 2 tbsp Za'atar

Instructions

  1. 1In a bowl, combine all-purpose flour, semolina flour, and salt.
  2. 2Gradually add lukewarm water, mixing until a smooth and elastic dough forms. Knead for 5-7 minutes.
  3. 3Divide the dough into small balls (about 4-6).
  4. 4On a lightly oiled surface, flatten each ball into a thin square or circle.
  5. 5Brush the dough with olive oil and then melted vegan butter. Fold in half, brush again, and fold again to create layers.
  6. 6Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  7. 7Cook each msemen for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. 8Sprinkle with za'atar and serve warm.
