Ingredients

  • 1 lb Korean Rice Cakes (Tteok)
  • 3 tbsp Gochujang (Korean Chili Paste)
  • 1 tbsp Gochugaru (Korean Chili Flakes)
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1/2 medium Onion
  • 2 cups Vegetable Broth
  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 2 stalks Scallions

Instructions

  1. 1In a bowl, combine gochujang, gochugaru, soy sauce, sugar, and minced garlic to make the sauce.
  2. 2In a pot, bring vegetable broth to a boil. Add the rice cakes and sliced onion.
  3. 3Stir in the sauce mixture and cook until the rice cakes are soft and the sauce has thickened, about 10-15 minutes.
  4. 4Drizzle with sesame oil and garnish with chopped scallions before serving.
