Ingredients

  • 4 6oz Salmon fillets
  • 1 lb Broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce (gluten-free)
  • 2 tbsp Mirin (rice wine)
  • 1 tbsp Sake (optional)
  • 1 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Ginger, grated
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp Water

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. 2In a small bowl, whisk together tamari, mirin, sake (if using), brown sugar, ginger, and garlic.
  3. 3In a separate small bowl, dissolve cornstarch in water.
  4. 4Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add broccoli florets and sauté for 5 minutes, until slightly tender.
  5. 5Pour half of the teriyaki sauce over the broccoli and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Toss to coat and transfer to a baking sheet.
  6. 6Place salmon fillets on a separate baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. 7Brush the remaining teriyaki sauce over the salmon fillets.
  8. 8Bake salmon for 12-15 minutes, or until cooked through. Broil for the last 2 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
  9. 9Bake the broccoli for 8-10 minutes, or until tender and slightly crisp.
  10. 10Serve salmon and broccoli immediately with rice.
