Ingredients

  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1/4 medium Onion (Chopped)
  • 1 tsp Soy Sauce
  • 1/4 small Chili (Chopped, Optional)
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil

Instructions

  1. 1In a medium bowl, crack the 2 large Eggs and whisk them thoroughly until the yolks and whites are fully combined.
  2. 2Add the 1/4 medium Onion (Chopped), 1 tsp Soy Sauce, and 1/4 small Chili (Chopped, if using) to the bowl with the whisked eggs. Mix everything together until well combined.
  3. 3Place a 10-inch non-stick frying pan on the stove over medium heat. Add the 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil and let it heat up for about 1 minute until it shimmers.
  4. 4Carefully pour the egg and onion mixture into the hot pan. Spread it out evenly with a spatula if needed.
  5. 5Cook for 3 to 5 minutes on the first side, until the edges look set and the bottom is a light golden brown. You can gently lift an edge with a spatula to check the color.
  6. 6Flip the omelette carefully using a spatula. Cook for another 3 to 5 minutes on the second side, until it is cooked through and golden brown on both sides.
  7. 7Slide the finished omelette onto a plate. Serve immediately.
