Ingredients

  • 2 bags Black Tea Bags
  • 1.5 cups Water
  • 0.5 cup Sweetened Condensed Coconut Milk

Instructions

  1. 1Pour the 1.5 cups of water into a kettle or pot and bring it to a boil. This should take about 5 minutes.
  2. 2Place the 2 bags of black tea bags into a teapot or a heat-proof container. Make sure the container is large enough to hold the water.
  3. 3Carefully pour the boiling water over the 2 tea bags. Let the tea steep for 3 to 5 minutes, or until it has reached your desired strength.
  4. 4Gently remove the 2 tea bags from the steeped tea. Squeeze them lightly to get out any extra liquid, but do not over-squeeze.
  5. 5Pour the 0.5 cup of sweetened condensed coconut milk into the teapot with the steeped tea. Stir everything together until it is well combined.
  6. 6To create a frothy top, carefully pour the tea mixture back and forth between two heat-proof cups from a height of about 12 inches. Repeat this pouring process several times until a nice foam forms on top.
  7. 7Serve the Teh Tarik hot immediately.
