Ingredients

  • 1 cup Glutinous rice flour
  • 3/4 cup Warm water
  • 1/2 cup Sesame paste filling
  • 4 cups Water
  • 1/4 cup Rock sugar
  • 2 slices Ginger

Instructions

  1. 1In a large bowl, gradually add warm water to glutinous rice flour, mixing until a soft, pliable dough forms.
  2. 2Pinch off small pieces of dough and roll them into balls. Flatten each ball slightly, then fill with a small amount of sesame paste filling. Seal the edges and roll into a smooth ball.
  3. 3Bring water to a boil in a pot. Add rock sugar and ginger slices.
  4. 4Gently drop the glutinous rice balls into the boiling water. Cook until they float to the surface and become soft, about 3-5 minutes.
  5. 5Serve the tangyuan in the sweet ginger broth.
