Ingredients

  • 1 cup Cooked Japanese Rice
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tbsp Tamari (gluten-free soy sauce)
  • 1 tbsp Green Onions
  • 1 tsp Katsuobushi (bonito flakes)

Instructions

  1. 1Place the 1 cup of hot cooked Japanese Rice into a medium-sized bowl.
  2. 2Using the back of a spoon, gently create a small well in the center of the 1 cup of hot cooked Japanese Rice.
  3. 3Carefully crack the 1 large Egg directly into the well you made in the rice. Be careful not to break the yolk.
  4. 4Drizzle the 1 tbsp of Tamari (gluten-free soy sauce) over the egg and rice.
  5. 5Sprinkle the 1 tbsp of Green Onions and the 1 tsp of Katsuobushi (bonito flakes) over the top.
  6. 6Serve the Tamago Kake Gohan (Egg Over Rice) immediately.
