Ingredients

  • 1 package (12 oz) Silken Tofu
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 cup Sago Pearls

Instructions

  1. 1In a small saucepan, combine the 1/2 cup Water and 1/2 cup Brown Sugar. Heat over medium-high heat until it reaches a rolling boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. The syrup should thicken slightly, coating the back of a spoon. Stir in the 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract and remove from heat.
  2. 2While the syrup simmers, gently warm the 1 package (12 oz) Silken Tofu. You can do this by placing it in a steamer basket over simmering water for 5 minutes, or by microwaving it on a microwave-safe plate for 1 to 2 minutes, until just warm. Be careful not to overheat or it may break apart.
  3. 3To assemble the Taho, carefully scoop the warm silken tofu into two serving bowls. Spoon the warm arnibal (brown sugar syrup) over the tofu.
  4. 4Add the 1/4 cup Sago Pearls to each bowl, on top of the tofu and syrup. Serve immediately.
