Ingredients

  • 4 medium Potatoes, peeled and shredded
  • 1 bunch Swiss chard, chopped
  • 1 cup Gruyère cheese, grated
  • 1/2 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1Squeeze excess moisture from the shredded potatoes using a clean kitchen towel.
  2. 2In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. 3Add the Swiss chard and cook until wilted, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. 4Stir in the shredded potatoes, salt, and pepper. Press the mixture into an even layer in the skillet.
  5. 5Cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown and crispy. Flip the rösti using a large spatula or plate.
  6. 6Sprinkle the grated Gruyère cheese over the top and cook for another 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. 7Cut into wedges and serve immediately.
