Ingredients

  • 3 medium Apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut oil, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cardamom
  • 1 tablespoon Maple syrup
  • 1 cup Dairy-free whipped cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. 2Core the 3 medium Apples and slice them into 1/4-inch thick slices.
  3. 3In a medium bowl, add the apple slices, 2 tablespoons of coconut oil (melted), 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, and 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom. Toss everything together until the apple slices are evenly coated.
  4. 4Add the 1 tablespoon of maple syrup to the bowl with the apples and toss again to coat.
  5. 5Arrange the coated apple slices in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make sure they are not overlapping too much.
  6. 6Bake for 20-25 minutes. The apple slices are done when they are tender when poked with a fork and have started to look slightly caramelized around the edges.
  7. 7Serve the spiced apple slices warm. If you like, top them with 1 cup of dairy-free whipped cream.
