Ingredients

  • 2 large Green Plantains
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 medium Avocado
  • 2 tablespoons Lime Juice
  • 0.25 cup Red Onion
  • 2 tablespoons Cilantro

Instructions

  1. 1Peel the plantains and slice them thinly into chips.
  2. 2In a bowl, toss the plantain chips with coconut oil, chili powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. 3Spread the plantain chips in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  4. 4Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
  5. 5While the chips are baking, prepare the avocado dip by mashing the avocados in a bowl.
  6. 6Add lime juice, finely chopped red onion, and cilantro to the mashed avocado. Mix well.
  7. 7Serve the plantain chips warm with the avocado dip.
