Ingredients

  • 1.5 cup Roasted Peanuts
  • 0.25 cup Red Onion
  • 2 Green Chilies
  • 1 tsp Ginger
  • 0.25 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tsp Mustard Oil
  • 2 tbsp Cilantro

Instructions

  1. 1If your 1.5 cup Roasted Peanuts are raw, place them in a dry medium pan over medium heat (350°F/175°C). Cook for 5-10 minutes, stirring often, until the peanuts are golden brown and smell fragrant. Remove the pan from the heat and let the 1.5 cup Roasted Peanuts cool completely for at least 10 minutes.
  2. 2While the 1.5 cup Roasted Peanuts cool, finely chop the 0.25 cup Red Onion into 1/8-inch pieces. Chop the 2 Green Chilies into 1/8-inch pieces. Mince the 1 tsp Ginger.
  3. 3Once the 1.5 cup Roasted Peanuts are completely cool, transfer them to a medium mixing bowl. Add the finely chopped 0.25 cup Red Onion, chopped 2 Green Chilies, minced 1 tsp Ginger, 0.25 tsp Turmeric Powder, and 0.5 tsp Salt to the bowl.
  4. 4Pour the 1 tsp Mustard Oil and the 1 tbsp Lemon Juice over the ingredients in the bowl.
  5. 5Use a spoon or your clean hands to thoroughly mix all the ingredients in the bowl until they are evenly combined. Finely chop the 2 tbsp Cilantro and add it to the mixture, then mix gently to incorporate.
  6. 6Serve the Spicy Peanut Sadeko immediately.
