Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Ground beef
  • 1 large Onion
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Curry powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 1/2 cup Dried apricots
  • 1/4 cup Raisins
  • 2 tablespoons Apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. 2In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess fat.
  3. 3Add onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. 4Stir in curry powder, turmeric, and garam masala. Cook for 1 minute more.
  5. 5Add dried apricots, raisins, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. 6Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Insert bay leaves into the meat mixture.
  7. 7In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs and milk. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. 8Pour the egg mixture over the meat mixture.
  9. 9Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the custard is set and golden brown.
  10. 10Serve hot with yellow rice and chutney.
