Ingredients

  • 4 cups Cooked Rice (Day-Old)
  • 6 cloves Garlic
  • 3 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. 1Prepare the 6 cloves of garlic by mincing them into very small pieces.
  2. 2Heat the 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large 12-inch skillet over medium heat, which is about 350°F (175°C).
  3. 3Add the minced garlic to the hot oil and cook for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring constantly, until it is golden brown and smells fragrant. Watch carefully to prevent it from burning.
  4. 4Add the 4 cups of cooked rice (day-old) to the skillet. Use a spatula to break apart any clumps of rice.
  5. 5Stir-fry the rice with the garlic and oil for 5 to 7 minutes, tossing it frequently, until the rice is heated through and some grains begin to look slightly crispy.
  6. 6Sprinkle the 1/2 teaspoon of salt and the 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper over the rice. Stir well to distribute the seasonings evenly.
  7. 7Serve the Sinangag hot immediately as a snack or side dish.
