  • 1 lb Shrimp
  • 8 oz Andouille Sausage
  • 1 cup Stone-Ground Grits
  • 4 cups Chicken Broth
  • 0.5 cup Heavy Cream
  • 0.5 cup Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 medium Green Bell Pepper
  • 0.5 medium Onion
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Cajun Seasoning
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. 1In a large saucepan, bring chicken broth to a boil. Gradually whisk in the grits, reduce heat to low, and cook for about 20-25 minutes, stirring frequently, until the grits are creamy and thickened.
  2. 2Stir in heavy cream and cheddar cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper. Keep warm.
  3. 3While the grits are cooking, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add andouille sausage and cook until browned.
  4. 4Add bell pepper, onion, and garlic to the skillet. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
