Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb Chicken breast
  • 0.5 cup Plain yogurt
  • 0.25 cup Lemon juice
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 0.5 tsp Turmeric
  • 0.5 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1Cut the 1.5 lb chicken breast into 1-inch cubes.
  2. 2In a medium bowl, whisk together the 0.5 cup plain yogurt, 0.25 cup lemon juice, 3 cloves minced garlic, 1 tsp paprika, 0.5 tsp turmeric, 0.5 tsp cumin, 1 tsp salt, and 0.5 tsp black pepper until well combined.
  3. 3Add the 1-inch chicken cubes to the marinade. Toss everything together until the chicken is fully coated. Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
  4. 4Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. This is approximately 400-450°F (200-230°C).
  5. 5Thread the marinated chicken cubes evenly onto skewers, leaving a small space between each cube for even cooking. You should have enough chicken for about 4-6 skewers.
  6. 6Place the skewers on the preheated grill. Grill for 12-15 minutes, turning the skewers every 4-5 minutes. The chicken is cooked through when it is no longer pink inside and has reached an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  7. 7Once cooked, remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute, keeping the chicken moist.
