Ingredients

  • 2 cups Rice Flour
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Ghee (Clarified Butter)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cardamom Powder
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 cups Vegetable Oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. 1In a large bowl, mix the rice flour, sugar, melted ghee, and cardamom powder.
  2. 2Gradually add water to the mixture, mixing well until you get a smooth batter of pouring consistency.
  3. 3Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or wok over medium heat.
  4. 4Using your fingers or a measuring cup, carefully pour the batter into the hot oil in a circular motion to form a ring shape.
  5. 5Fry the sel roti until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
  6. 6Remove the fried sel roti and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  7. 7Let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy as a sweet snack or dessert.
