Ingredients

  • 1 cup Plantain Flour
  • 4 cups Water
  • 10 medium Dates
  • 1 tsp Cardamom Powder
  • 1 tbsp Coconut Oil
  • 0.25 cup Toasted Coconut Flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1In a large saucepan, whisk together the plantain flour and water until smooth.
  2. 2Add the dates and cardamom powder to the saucepan.
  3. 3Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent sticking, until the porridge thickens to your desired consistency.
  4. 4Stir in the coconut oil.
  5. 5Serve hot, garnished with toasted coconut flakes, if desired.
