Ingredients

  • about 450 g Fresh Sardines (cleaned)
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt
  • 4 each Lemon Wedges

Original measure retained: its cup/spoon or fluid-volume standard is unspecified.

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. This is about 204.4-232.2°C (200-230°C).
  2. 2Rinse the about 450 g fresh sardines under cold water. Gently pat them completely dry with paper towels.
  3. 3Place the about 450 g fresh sardines in a bowl or on a clean surface. Brush them all over with the 2 tbsp olive oil. Sprinkle evenly with the 1 tsp sea salt.
  4. 4Place the prepared sardines on the preheated grill. Grill for 3-4 minutes per side. The sardines are cooked when the flesh is opaque and flakes easily with a fork, and the skin is crispy. For fish, an internal temperature of 63°C is ideal.
  5. 5Remove the sardines from the grill and serve immediately. Place the 4 lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the fish.
