Ingredients

  • 1 lb Fresh Sardines
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 medium Lemon

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, which is about 400-450°F (200-230°C).
  2. 2Gently rinse the 1 lb fresh sardines under cold running water. Pat them completely dry with paper towels.
  3. 3Place the dried sardines in a bowl. Drizzle them with the 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Sprinkle evenly with the 1 teaspoon of salt and the 0.5 teaspoon of black pepper, ensuring all sides are coated.
  4. 4Place the seasoned sardines on the preheated grill. Grill for 5 to 7 minutes per side. The sardines are cooked when they are opaque throughout and have light char marks. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
  5. 5Remove the grilled sardines from the grill and arrange them on a serving platter. Cut the 1 medium lemon into wedges.
  6. 6Serve the grilled sardines immediately with the lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the fish.
